I did find those easy recipes for homemade dog treats. In fact I found lots of great choices. Making these treats yourself is simple to do.

Favorite Homemade Dog Treats Recipe

This one for dog treats I found on All Recipes. com. It makes a nice large batch. I’ve made these several times and my dogs just love them. I just dog-shapes cookie cutters in different sizes. Well, I have small, medium and large dogs, so the different sizes are important.

The basis of this recipe it rolled oats, cornmeal and cheese. Don’t be fooled by the list of ingredients. It really is easy to make. And these treats will last quite a while for your dogs.

Good Dog Cookies Recipe

Another homemade dog treats recipe that I like is called Good Dog Cookies. It’s another simple-to-make recipe that uses whole wheat, an egg and brown sugar as the basis. The dogs also love these treats.

Less ingredients make up this recipe, but still requires rolling out the dough and cutting into shapes. That’s a favorite thing for me to do.

All the recipes I like are those that work best with rolled out dough. I like to cut my homemade dog treats into shapes. Bones, paws, even heart shapes. These are some of the cookie cutters that I use.

    Now this will be fun! With 3 dogs (one a big one) I love the idea of using different shaped/sized cutters! Adding them to my shopping list!

    I really love the idea of making shaped cookies for my dogs! Now, Merlin would just chomp down any design (or even my misshapes), but Daisy would appreciate the specialty doggy treats.

    I don’t know why I never thought of this before. I’ve been moving away from processed, factory-made food in my own life, but I never considered it for my dogs. Must give these recipes a try.
